Florida Atlantic coaches are continuing to make splashes in the transfer portal having recently acquired former Georgia Tech defensive back Jalen Huff, who will make his way to Boca Raton.
Huff leaves his home state with three years of eligibility remaining and joins the Owls as a unique defensive talent. He saw the most time on the field during the 2021-22 campaign, making six solo tackles and forced one fumble in six appearances. He leaves the Yellow Jackets having played in 10 games across three seasons.
Huff was a defensive standout during his time at Buford High School, leading Buford to 35 wins across three seasons, including a 14-1 record and winning the Georgia 5A state championship as a senior in 2019. National outlets such as 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals gave him recognition, ranking him as a three-star prospect.
Huff gained plenty of big offers from the likes of Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Auburn, and North Carolina among others before ultimately committing to Georgia Tech in 2019.
Some of his best highlights at Buford High School can be seen below:
Boosting the Owls' depth at defensive back, Huff is likely to be in competition for a starting spot.
