They'd have to sit a year though right? Doesnt sound like they are going for hardship waivers.Posted On: Dec 18th 2013, 8:41 AM #324719
Yes, they would have to sit unless they were a graduated junior who was looking to play his final season at another institution.

Josh Black DE/OLB: This kid looks amazing, a definite playmaker on defense. His senior season he record 103 tackles, 26 for a loss (with a career total of 43 TFL), and forced 3 fumbles. He has taken officials to Marshall, Toledo, Arizona, and plans on visiting USF in January. Lets get this kid!
Vincent Jackson OLB: Has offers from 35 different schools, however 247 has him predicted to commit to USF. He is listed as a 3 star linebacker who had 70 tackles and 26 for loss this past season. He attends Jesuit in Tampa where we picked Reggie Brown and Isaac Edwards in our last 2 classes. it is definitely worth a hot to throw our hat into the ring and see if we can get him to come to FAU over USF(hey we beat them). And Jackson has got some size for a HS LB. Much better looking at the MLB and hits hard and never lets up, even even chasing the play down with good angles, goes to where the back will be, not chasing from behind.
If they have not been contacted yet by FAU, have them submit their tapes ASAP!

I think it shows just how hard it is for FAU to retain Florida players, the state is being HEAVILY RAIDED EVERYDAY by EVERYBODY, not just SEC BigBoy programs!
I still think we need to focus our recruiting efforts out of state to compensate for the sad fact we basically draw only the leftovers of the State. I do hope I am wrong and Coach Partridge and staff will be able to change this.

Well that shows 20 recruits in Florida! If he somehow got 2 of those to FAU I would be impressed. These kid's are dreaming of SEC not CUSA!

I think one of the main reasons Chun hired Partridge was that he didn't want significant out of state recruiting…there is a significant scholarship difference between in state and out of state student athletes. A difference we cannot afford.

Our goal shouldn't be to steal kids from Ole Mis, LSU and Arkansas, we will be wildly successful keeping kids from going to Sytracuse, Bowling Green and UCONN, there is so much talent to go around, we will do great with the mid tier kids from here…Posted On: Dec 21st 2013, 3:58 PM #324941
True story. It kills me when I see "our" kids going to Marshall and West Virginia and other places. We should be able to keep those guys here.
