back to football...sorry Walter. Is it strange to anyone else that there are some many scholarship kids leaving the team or getting cut. what is the rule with coaches being able to do that? just curious.

Scholarships are not for multiple years…they are for one year at a time…up to the institution to renew it.

There was a period last year (very brief) that you could sign more than one year, but it was pulled and no longer an option.

FAU did not exercise it either.

Not to mention, most of the scholarship kids getting cut are from the old regime

Well I thought that was obvious so I didn't mention it, but it just goes to show how we truly weren't recruiting the right players if such a large number are gone. sad
