Whitehead Off to FAU

Andrew, I guess you would be the person to ask, unless someone else can answer it. But, does anyone know why some of these kids chose JUCO over a 4 year school out of High School? I'm always curious as to why they chose a JC. I know it can be more than just grades, could be any number of reasons. Just wanted to see if anyone knew why. Especially for Whitehead who's extremely talented

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

A few different reasons… lack of exposure coming out of high school, grade issues and injuries force guys the JUCO route.

For Quez Johnson he suffered a shoulder injury his senior season. Butcher had a lack of exposure playing in Minnesota and Lyons originally started his career at a Division II school.

Whitehead's issue was grades, but he turned it around at Dean College.

Not to mention Richardson who will be back next year along with the transfer from Illinois.

I think you mean Jay McCants from Indiana if I'm not mistaken but yes the receiving corps will be a huge strength and I'm extremely excited to see them perform. Now let's get a mobile QB with an arm that can get out of the pocket and get them the ball in space.

Indiana is correct, I get confused with the Big 10 schools that start with "I".

McKinney is a good player as well.  Both starting RB's come back as seniors and are pretty talented.

OLine is what will be questionable.  I really hope it doesn't end up hampering us.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

If the receiving corp is as good as everyone thinks it will be why would you want your qb running around out of the pocket? Stay in the pocket get the ball out quick to your receivers on time and hand the ball off to your backs some. NFL has done it for years and its worked great. The ones who run around a lot hasn't faired so good.

Howard is that you?
