I just hope they realize how important this is for the whole university to get that stadium approved and constucted.

As for the stadium vote in a little more than 2 weeks, this victory is good for the cause. I'm sure some of the board members are waking up this morning and reading their papers and hopefully will notice the FAU victory. I would like to think some may have gone to the game last night. There are few things more popular than winners.

Absolutely. Keep winning and the pressure will be on the board to make this stadium deal happen.

Grossman - a huge supporter of athletics was at the game and wondering the sideline toward the end of the game.

Someone needs to talk to the guy with the cannon who, according to the MT people, thought it was funny.
The team needs to win on the field. We don't need to develop a reputation for having assholes on our home field although that may be absolutley impossible to do. Most importantly it was a rude and dangerous thing to do.
One other thing I read is they thought Lockhart is a joke. I wish I could forward that post to the BoT. Its another bad reflection on FAU.

Also, I agree about the cannon guy. I noticed last year whoever was running it was having a good time firing it off next to the visiting team's cheerleaders. It isn't meant as something to harass the visitors. They need to get someone running it that realizes it isn't a toy and that it can do harm to people's ears.
One side note on the cannon, how about using it outside the stadium 20 minutes before the game as a way to alert people in the parking lot to get in the stadium BEFORE KICKOFF!!! I know this is something Coach has wanted for years, and it is beyond me why people can't get in their seats for the start of the game….every other team's fans can do it, and most have many more fans in the stadium than we do! It was the 2nd quarter before the majority of people, especially the students, were in the stands. There actually was a decent amount of students at the game. It would be nice if they were there to cheer on the team as they run through the giant helmet.

I have to speak up for the cannon guys. I am near them frequently and they are friendly and careful. (I have been blasted by that thing a couple of times at Joe Robbie - godawful.) On Saturday, I was right in the line of fire when two of the guys warned me in time to move. They waited and then fired it.
The cannon is as far back from the field as possible, in the extreme northeast corner of the stadium. If they shot it when the MTSU team was close. I'm sure it was not intended to cause harm. It was, after all, the end of a very positive half for FAU and the guys were celebrating.
Again this year, I wonder whether Lockhart has the rudest employees in the nation. They are rude as we come in and rudely show us the door minutes after the game ends.
On Saturday, I had already come in when I noticed they were giving away the Owl towels to everyone at another gate. I walked up to the woman and asked her if I could have one. She looked me up and down, and said, "Who are you?" I got no towel.
