FAU Tightend John Raine Enters the Transfer Portal

Owls' tight end John Raine has entered the transfer portal.

Raine, who caught 39 passes for 343 yards in 2019 was granted a 6th year of eligibility, had been working out with the team this off season.

FAU now returns zero receptions at the tight end position heading into 2020.

I'm sure you have your reasons.  Best of luck to you, John!

The timing is the oddest part if this.

He was working out with the team.

This speculation, but I do not think you make this move unless you have somewhere lined up.

I didn't want to say that.  But certainly was thinking that. I don't care. Wish him the best of luck. We are FAU.  If you want to leave, leave.

If he goes to be with Lane Iíll be really salty and upset. Would be a totally uncool move after all we did for him.†

This is an inevitable reality of college football today. Just  till they start getting money. It will be a revolving door of players. Good players at small schools will all want to be at a schools that can offer them the most.
