Get the win this Saturday, change the momentum, start a win streak, then wait and see where our record is at the half way point of the season.
I know the bandwagon is slowing down and some are ready to jump off, but give it a few of weeks.
This is still early in Tom Herman’s second year and I believe in him.Posted On: Sep 13th 2024, 6:14 AM #426114
Since last year Herman kept the offers and scholarships from the previous regime I would say this is the real year 1. And recruitment has been better. I think we are a QB away of being title contenders. Let's finish the first half of the season in the positive and then we'll see. Lane's first year started the same way.

These rebuild take 3-4 years, but we need to start seeing some sort of progress at some point this year.ROwl2007 said

I find it amusing that every year Vegas tells us how many games we're going to win and they've been within one game on either side of that like 18 out of 22 times. Yet once we drop a game or two when we we're supposed to only win six and a half the coaches are horrible, burn down the stadium, expel all the students athletes, and shut the program down because we're just an absolute trash, garbage, and terrible team. Just LOL.Posted On: Sep 13th 2024, 7:58 AM #426117
Vegas is in the business of tricking people, they know who is going to win or a pretty fair idea. They have access to all kind of data, rumors and also injury statuses and reports. The lines of us favored are sucker lines, the real line was -11 Army but they knew the action would not be equal for both teams so favored us as the home team. Besides we did just take MSU to the wire so why not lol.

Not any specific, but overall. Engagement with Lane was more creative, exciting. Giveaways were better, the bobbleheads were great, haven't seen them in years. We get a towel tomorrow which is something. We need a person that can generate support, hmm a tom herman bobblehead ohh I am thinking ahead lol.

Losing today and we're probably ending for a 0-2 win season with one of the easiest schedules in college football.

Lane brought national attention, but I did not put butts in the seats.
I remember a game vs UNT with over 700 yards in front of maybe 15k? I remember winning the C-USA east vs Southern Miss in perfect weather in front maybe 10k.
Do we even need to talk about the attendance for the two home C-USA title games?

The fact that the program is one of the top 10 fastest growing in the G5, after going 19-28 since 2019 ended, is very impressive. Especially in a south florida sports market (it’s not very good).
