I don't follow baseball but it doesn't sound like they cancelled any games because of this particular player. He tested positive, sat out and everyone else played. With that being said, I agree that if GSU has an outbreak and players continue to test positive throughout the week, then yes, it is a risk we can do without.Posted On: Sep 13th 2020, 11:35 AM #395947
Agreed. But presuming we are proceeding with playing, are they still going to be down 33 players? Also, it just me or are we quietly becoming a media darling? SMU game was broadcasted in prime time when no other games were on and now we’re in the same spot on ESPN1

This is what I’ve been saying. We’re a tv draw. I think everyone knows we have a lot to offer with a huge market in Palm Beach County, Broward, and a lot of potential. Imagine how crazy it’ll be when Sanders is the starting QB. We can position ourselves to be in the conversation of possibly moving up if the P5 ever expands. We have location, and other things like being high on student diversity lists.

It doesn't have much to do with us.
This game got moved up because Miami vs Louisville got the prime time slot.
UCF vs GT get ABC at 3:30.
If you see the 3:30 slate you can see why we got the ESPN call.
None the less this is a primetime spot for FAU and outside of the bowl games, we have mostly disappointed in these spots.

We will all learn together who is the bulk reps on D together as we watch on Satuday.
Who knows what GSU looks like if they get any of the 33 that missed last weeks game back.
Lotto numbers might be an easier guess than score prediction.

This is one of the most "unknown games" we could ever be apart of as Owl fans.
