Sucks we lose a baseball season against usm. Other than that, these teams added nothing to cusa other than fillers. So who cares.Posted On: Feb 12th 2022, 11:10 AM #406756
Um I'd say Marshall added the most by far. Owned us in football even though I think we blew a few of those. The other 2 to the sun belt are who cares though

Sounds about right.
It won't happen this way, because every conference has their working-schedule (I'd imagine, and sticking with football) but, if we shook-out a new game with GA ST or GA Tech, it'd make my day, for entirely selfish reasons, of course.

I heard the same thing about one, eleven team division for CUSA playing an unbalanced football schedule in 2022. Hard to say which western teams will make up our two open dates.Rick said
Per source, the league is looking to move to a one division structure as a counter move. This would likely mean that the two top teams with the best winning percentage would play for the C-USA ChampionshipPosted On: Feb 11th 2022, 6:35 PM #406751
We are supposed to play the second part of the home and home with UAB (home) and UTEP (away) per CUSA scheduling. My GUESS is that it would look something like this:
FAU CUSA
Home Games: Western Kentucky, Charlotte, UAB. (One of Rice, UTSA, North Texas, La Tech)
Away Games: FIU, Middle Tennessee, UTEP. (One of Rice, UTSA, North Texas, La Tech)
Any thoughts on this?

Leaving early was in the millions per team if memory serves me correctly.Posted On: Feb 13th 2022, 3:45 PM #406762
Honestly we’re not ready for the American right now I’m really hoping Taggart proves me wrong this coming fall but we need all the wins we can get to have some momentum going into it. I’d be feeling really bad about this year if we were starting in the American this fall

…and if the legal battle is drawn-out beyond twenty, twenty-three? I'm going to keep my hopes for a forced-error, pay-day low (but window-shop anyway).Posted On: Feb 13th 2022, 7:03 PM #406763
If they don't fulfil their part of the contract they still have to pay.
That's why C-USA put out the expectancy release stating teams were to honor their commitment through 2023. That was only sent to media BTW.

We weren't going to be here for their planned buy-out, hell, we were gonna buy-out too, right? So, I guess, would we get a hold of their early buy-out; and if it was delayed by legal process until after our departure? I'm not firm here in any opinion; I'm, for a change of pace, asking an un-ironic, non-satirical question. Cause I dunno. But thanks for the quick shot back.
