Kiffin is the King of trolling
WISH we still had a presence like this on social media.
Kiffin follows our account still to this day, and used to interact with the content on a regular basis when he was Head Coach at FAU.
Since then, no follow, no interaction, and well…
(no further comment or insinuation needed on what I am saying here)
Now, for the set up troll:
BREAKING: #OleMiss HC Lane Kiffin plans to step down as the Rebels coach Friday and head to Auburn to become the Tigers next head coach, according to sources
— Jon Sokoloff (@JonSokoloff) November 22, 2022
Sources say the Tigers haven’t officially offered the job to anyone yet.
So Lane to Auburn is happening. Story soon.
And the response:
— Lane Kiffin (@Lane_Kiffin) November 22, 2022
Makes you wonder, if FAU was more established like an App st. With fan base and tradition and we were in the cusp of going to the American would he have stayed. Nonetheless when he was here it was the best stretch of football I have ever experienced. I miss those days.

I missed how he made a joke about things. Kiffin will leave Ole Miss, then can only go so far. He deserves a chance at a premier job, Ole Miss is not that. He wants to beat Saban and goi got Auburn with the biggest rivalry game every year is the place to do it.

Ole Miss has every opportunity to be as good a job as Auburn. I supposed I wouldn't consider Auburn a premier job. I think Ole Miss and Auburn are in the same class, a step below the elite jobs. My elite list looks something like this. Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Texas, Oklahoma and maybe a few others. Not necessarily in that order. Let's not forget, Lane was at USC. Ole Miss does not have the visibility of the elite programs, but it also doesn't have the pressure. It is certainly a solid second tier program that isn't too far behind the elite programs. Just my two cents.

Historically Auburn is a much much better job than Ole Miss. exhibit A is ole miss won 10 games for the first time just last year.
Ole miss can’t compete financially with Auburn as well especially in the world of NIL. Although if you wanna much less stressful job ole miss is a great place to be. It’s a place you can win 7-10 games every year and the fan base will be happy

Not true. Ole Miss has won 10 games numerous times dating as far back as 1955. 10 wins in 2003, 2015, and 2021 as well. Not the same degree of success as Auburn, but Ole Miss is a pretty good job in my opinion. Oxford is a hell of a college town to boot.
You are correct about the 7-10 wins a year and keeping a job. However, I think that is changing and the pressure to win is greater than it once was. More 9 and 10 won seasons are expected than 7 and 8 win seasons. This year at 8-4 after tonight's loss to MSU is looking like a disappointing season.

So first time they won 10 games in the regular season alone.
Yeah and at Ole miss with the lack of NIL support it’s gonna be tough to compete at a year in and year out. Auburn is way ahead in NIL and asst coaching salary pool. Lane has left the those nuggets through out his time at Ole Miss and that clearly matters to him. He lost many asst coaches and recruits to both during his time at ole miss

Lane has made multiple comments about NIL and despite the money Ole Miss can not compete with Auburn on that front. You will start to see more coach movement on not only their pay but what can be offered to recruits.
Louisville did not suddenly have the 18th best class in the country because prospects love the up and coming down town and proximity to Churchill Downs.
In the AAC conference schools like SMU, Memphis, Tulane, and UTSA have all started ones. Cool college towns do not matter when you lose recruits over money and for the fact coaches work like 100 hours a week.
Ole Miss has never even been to an SEC title game while Auburn has been to two national titles in the last 11 years.
Who knows if Lane ends up at Auburn, but the fact is his names has already been connected around two jobs while at Ole Miss.
