Looks like no season or half a season

The prime concern is for the players and fans at the stadium and at practice.
If a half season does come about I will miss the competition that the Owls would have given GA. Southern at our stadium. Sill football is a game and if it means giving up the season or only having a half season, so be it!
I hope all of you, your families & school are well.

It looks like the 2020 season well not happen or at best a half season will be involved.Posted On: Apr 10th 2020, 9:25 PM #394625
I don’t know where you get your information but you mind want to find a new source. There have been no decisions at this point and there is plenty of time before that needs to be decided.

I'm getting my info the same place as yours. There are plenty of sports casters and medical people on TV that are looking at the curve of the virus and when it will burn out.The Governors of each state are in control right now. The lack of PPE , ventilators show the the Fed government is behind.. Preventive meds are being looked at around the world. Still it will be up to the Governors of each state to open up sports venues with or without fans or just TV coverage.

Ok buddy, time will tell. I have been told the sky is falling for 50+ years, BS. We went from a projection of 2M deaths to 60-70K. Some should hide in the basement, some of us will watch the numbers and react appropriately.

Maybe we aren't getting our news from the same places. I've heard between 100K & at worst 250K. Yes the sky will fall if the the Owls meet the Eagles in GSUs stadium by 14 points.

I'm pretty sure we're all getting the news from the same three or four companies that own all media outlets.
Whether or not there'll be a traditional season, who knows?
Someone pointed out "only 14,000 deaths" just the other day, implying that it's no big deal (say, compared to the flu). 14,000 dead, in a month, is arguably a big deal. Especially since, four days later, it's over 20,000.
If we take away the safety measures, without sufficiently added medical support, without a vaccine, without herd immunity, the projections will rise again.
I want and almost expect the season to be played (but I also bought some rice, beans and a few extra boxes of ammunition…).
