This is a great replacement. Big time name and resume to match. The young kids will recognise the name . I don't know how it all happens , but FAU has gotten it done with the past few hires. Fau football is sooo close to dominating. I'm excited about the future.

Not sure i share the same enthusiasm just yet.  Big name yes.  Call me debbie downer but my recollection of Mike Stoops most recent D's with top notch recruits mind you as well were a joke.  Hoping he picked up on a few things while going thru Saban purgatory.  If not then get ready for some soft and extremely porous defense.  Taggart taking a risk giving him a shot to redeem himself.

Yeah I can definitely see the concern but we aren't playing in the Big 12 so I'm pretty sure he can shut down subpar offenses with the talent we currently have on defense

It seems to be a great hire all i know about him is he was fired from OU when i started actively paying attention to College Football but this is not BIG12 offenses int eh CUSA. My main concern is that this is another one and done DC that we are taking on.

I mean it’s not a terrible problem to have. We are at a level where good coaches will be looking to make more money and move on in their careers. I’ll take it over firing guys every year.

Good programs replace good coaches with good coaches.

The issue here is not the DC leaving; the issue is Brian White being taken by another program just like his brother.

FAU has all the potential to become something special.

Yea I don’t think it’s common for Presidents to hop from job to job as long as we still have Dr. Kelly, we’ll be fine.

We got lane because he was good at his job at Alabama. Sarkisian also left to be HC at t3xss because he was good at his job. The list goes on and on.  

Uf just lost its OC to be QB coach at the Eagles.

Look, good teams lose coaches. Head coaches and assistants move on to the next best thing.

ITS A GOOD THING!!!
