If we were coming off 7 winning seasons, i’d be puzzled at the crowd. But eventually, winning 5 games every season has its consequences. Especially with basketball overshadowing with their success.

Beautiful weather, Panthers playing, Clemson in town, NASCAR weekend, and we expected to have the community prioritize us? I’d love to expect more than 20k every weekend, but until the product changes, that won’t. Just reality

Well, I don't think we had our students leaving to go watch NASCAR. I think they drank a ton and went back to take a nap before heading to Tin Roof or something like that.

But to your point, yes, three 5-win seasons following Lane Kiffin, who followed a bunch of 5-win seasons, doesn't do much to drive student engagement. Kiffin was great because he got us winning, and has an exciting brand of football. High-octane HUNH with big passes and a dark horse Heisman candidate is exciting fun. Running it up the middle for negative yardage three times in a row for a punt, with the game ending in a blow-out loss is pretty boring, and if I was 20 yrs old and drunk, I'd go to bed for a few hours before heading out at 11pm.

I was more so referring to the general crowd, not the student section in that post.

When it comes to students, I'd love to see it packed, but 7 of the last 10 seasons have all featured 5 wins or less (including 4 of the last 5). Putting up numbers like this year after year in the cusa does NOTHING to draw students into these games. We want to be the next UCF? Well, they have only had TWO losing seasons in their last 10 (and only 3 since their stadium opened). See the difference here?

Hard truth is that besides 2 good Lane seasons, this team has been a perennial loser since the stadium opened from 2011-now. With the additional resources in the AAC, if the program wins 7+ yearly, I guarantee you will see an increase in fans.

Lane ran it "up the middle'' more than anyone….

I mean the team trued multiple things the other night.

But going into Saturday the team scored 56 vs an in state team, so what was the excuse then? Our students predicted that would happen?

The student attendance among non greeks has increased greatly the last few years despite the below avg teams. But Greeks who mainly throw the big tailgates are skipping the game in large numbers. The school needs to fix it.

ECU had 38,000k this past weekend as a 1-5 team vs UNCC.

Has anyone been able to ask the right people in administration why the student tailgate is shut down an hour before the game starts.

The students have a legitimate excuse as why so many students leave after tailgating.

Is the thought from administration to get the students into the stadium early and on time?

Can we get an answer?

I understand that there will be a well known local rapper performing in the student tailgate section Saturday before the East Carolina home game.

Waiting on FAU to confirm and begin promoting it.

He will then lead the students into the game a half hour before kick-off.

Kodak  Black. The only reason I know this is my girl friend daughter asked about it. She wanted to know if he was performing and how to see him ,ie get tickets. I "jokingly" said, we are FAU, nobody knows. If anyone has any info, please share

Great, at least it is out there.

Now itís time for the University to start promoting it, unless there is a concern of over populating the tailgating area for the regulars.

That would be an iladvised concern. FAU Logic….let's have a popular performer come in to draw more attention to FAU football and get kids that normally don't attend  something to show up for. BUT, let's keep it quiet so not too many new kids show up.

They also changed the end of tailgating from 1 hour before the start to 30 minutes before the start. Maybe someone is listening.†

Agree, as long as they are students or others who have an interest in FAU Football and not just in Kodak Black then they leaving immediately after the concert.

Saying they havenít promoted it is disingenuous. They are promoting through channels that appeal to the target market. Multiple posts on social media.†

Itís good that they are doing something to enhance student participation and are trying new things.†

They have used the same channels that have failed in the past.
