Pitbull Buys Naming Rights to FIU Stadium

Post

FAU is trending up. Hearing anything otherwise is pretty shocking. Back-to-back March Madness invitations with a Final Four appearance two seasons ago is huge.

Moving into the American is huge. Imagine being stuck playing against all the new schools moving up from FCS. Attendance for AAC games will be way better than attendance against Western Kentucky or Middle Tennessee. I'd 100% rather see Tulane and USF over MTSU and FIU.

The key to getting more money, better players, a bigger collective, or an invitation to a P4 is to WIN GAMES. We had great attendance when Lane was here winning two conference titles in three years.

And yes, I contribute to the Paradise Collective and get season tickets every year.

White's administration has raised more money than any AD before him, it's not even close.

What exactly are you basing this opinion on?

When will FAU host their next Power 5 opponent in Boca, somewhere north of 2032 against Misssouri. FIU has hosted more Power 5 teams at their stadium and schedule better. What about marketing, the winning in paradise I get it was all white but no giveaways.

It’s like we are not even trying. If our NIL was somewhat ok why did May tuck his tail and leave dodge and other players left?  I feel we are ok with mid, mediocre and saying white has done a great job but the truth is we need to aspire for more and I feel he’s stagnant now.

Soo baseball gets a paint job and a few things fixed, still poor standards for the AAC and D1.  Hear me out that swimming team locker room is a complete shame and white should take a look at that and fix it.  It’s not even up to code. The final four bought him time to continue poor scheduling, lack of promotional ideas, and to price gauge fans for a subpar product on the field.

Ohh yes the fanfest is at 9 am on a Saturday, way to get as many people to show up. USF, FIU are making moves, like I said if FiU had an inkling of our success we would have fallen back to fcs and them who know further.

This post could not bemore off base. White is one of the best things to happen to our fine university.

Fundraising and structural changes to the athletic department have been through the roof - even before the Final 4.

White is one of the reasons we got into the AAC, which has proven to be a huge step up. So switch out “hosting Power 4 teams” (there is no Power 5) and put in the opponents we have hosted in the AAC: Tulane, ecu, Army, usf. All of those schools bring just as many (if not more) than many P4 schools.

3 games this year (2 AAC and fiu) are tracking for north of 25k.

Our NIL budget is AMAZING. We only “lost” 1 player for NIL. The players we brought in would surpass everything we lost - except that 1 player (Davis). We are never going to compete to keep a player like Davis - unless you plan to donate $1 million for 1 year of a player. The other players left for other reasons - we could have matched the NIL. What we brought in will be a VERY competitive squad - and in some ways better than last year’s team. The facts are that FAU is in the position to have gone to a Final 4, made an at large, hire the hottest up and coming coach, and bring in a wildly talented transfer class. All of us thought NONE of those things were possible.

If you want to see such a change, then be the change you want to see. How many people have you encouraged to go to games or get season tickets? Do you donate? Do you encourage others to donate? What have you contributed to NIL?

FAU is in great hands and trending up in literally everything in a time where many would have thought we would fall behind. I am wildly impressed by our ability to keep up with the changing times.

Quick we are to forget we come from Angelos (only cared about balancing the sheets) and Chun (did not want to let anyone touch the field and wanted Bobby Wilder over Lane Kiffin). Brian White hired Dusty May and Tom Herman here.

Sorry, I'm just reading all of these posts. I wanted to throw in my two cents.

I agree with NJ Owl that Brian White is doing an outstanding job on all levels. I actually think we should give him a raise or financially take care of him (if we are not doing so already). I am a huge fan of Brian White.

He is everything to do with the success of this University right now and in the past year's. By far the BEST Athletic Director FAU has ever had. Brian keeps bringing in the best coaches possible or best available. The Jakus get was bar-none. Not to mention Dusty May and Tom Herman.

I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Jakus and I am certain that we will see instant success. I was extremely impressed with his genuine demeanor, his basketball knowledge, and connections. This, I believe will translate to the young men of our basketball team.

If I were told that we would have all this success in the past decade, I would have bet the farm on it not happening. A huge thank you goes out to Brian White and all of his long hours, work, and hires.

It's a great time to be a FAU or Florida Atlantic fan and Alum.

GO OWLS!!!!!!!!!

As far as sponsorships and naming rights for stadium, we have many professional athletes, companies, and stars based in Boca Raton. Not sure about what side of the fence they stand on, so don't hold me to these suggestions. They are just ideas for Brian White and staff.

I'm not sure if we have pursued Baptist Health (they are already are a sponsor of FAU), Deloitte, Tenet Healthcare, Cross Country Healthcare, Publix might be tough, US Foods, ADT Security, and try Office Depot again, etc

How about professional athletes or stars that live in Boca: Let's start off with FAU Alum, Alfred Morris, which would be a great choice, Jon Bon Jovi, Cris Carter (I know he is on staff but worth a shot), Aleksander Barkov (he will be here at least until 2029 and signed an $80 million contract extension), Adam Sandler, Ariana Grande, Carrot Top (aka Scott Thompson), etc.

How about Kid Rock, I know he doesn't live here. But you never know. Kid Rock stadium has a nice ring to it. I know he loves helping people.

How about the guy that sold Citrix systems for $16.5 Billon, I believe his name is Mark Templeton. He either lives in Delray or Boca Raton. Or big IBM executives that live there.

Thought I would throw out some ideas to the suits upstairs..GO OWLS!!!!!!!

I do not think one former Owl who made it to the NFL has given any large donation. Kinda sucks when you see someone like Chris Sale give a million to FGCU baseball.

I am sure they have been asked.

Most stadium naming right have something directly to do with the area. Pit Bull, Hard Rock Stadium FBC Mortgage (UCF).

There has to be some major benefit to shell out 1-2 million dollars per year.

What company stands to benefit beyond a tax deduction for some advertising?

Honestly, we should consider hiring a former pro (Alfred Morris of Motor), to be an ambassador and help bring in large corporate sponsorships. I think having a heisman contender meeting with the big locally-headquartered corporations to advocate for sponsorships would be great.

And yeah for real. Some of these guys didn't get offers from P5 schools, and came here because we're the ones that pursued and developed them. I mean even Lane still gives us a shoutout once in a while. Is it so hard to have a locker room named after you?
