Karlis Silins
Foward
6-11 245 lbs
Riga, Latvia
Is seeking a waiver to become eligible right away for the Owls.
Played in eight games for Ole Miss in 2016-17, but earned a medical redshirt after suffering an ACL injury in December and missing the remainder of the season.
Averaged 14.8 points, 7.5 boards and 2.0 blocked shots a game in high school for VEF Skola in Latvia’s LBL2.
“Karlis is a player of high character who will add a lot of value to our program,” Head Coach Dusty May said. “He is a skilled big who brings a lot of physicality and is very comfortable with his back to the basket. He also moves well for his size which will help us a lot on the defensive end.”
