PBA at a Glance

Offense - 77 PPG, 50% FG, 39% 3PT

Defense - 76 PPGA, 42% FGA, 33% 3PTA

Rebounding -  38 RPG, 36 RPG Opponents

Sailfish Notables

Palm Beach Atlantic is led by fifth year senior forward Jules Jasmin (13.8 PPG). Despite a 83-76 setback to Florida Southern on Saturday, he became the Sailfishes' career points leader at the DII level while recording 16 points and five rebounds.

McCook CC transfer Will Lee (12.5 PPG) will be the guard the Owls have to contain. Running point for PBA, Lee is off to a fantastic start to the season and enjoys a 46% connect rate from long range (23-of-50). He is the team's assist leader as well with 32 dishes through eight games, and is solid at the line going 15-of-16 overall.

Rounding out the top scorers are guards Jalen Cooper (9.9 PPG) and Alexander Gorton (9.1 PPG). However, the duo combine for just a 26-of-48 mark (54%) at the charity stripe.

The Sailfish have little counter for FAU's size, and that should factor in towards a significant rebounding deficit over the course of the night Wednesday.

FAU at a Glance

Offense - 79 PPG, 48% FG, 35% 3PT

Defense - 71 PPGA, 45% FGA, 40% 3PTA

Rebounding - 38 RPG, 31 RPG Opponents

Owl Notables

Florida Atlantic is putting the final touches on a nine game homestand at FAU Arena. The Owls had their best defensive half all season Sunday, holding North Florida to just 12 points for the second period, in a 76-41 afternoon win over the Ospreys before a very respectable crowd given NFL competition.

Forward Giancarlo Rasado (photo left below) upped his offering off the bench, tossing in 8 points in 11 minutes of action while backing up Vlad Goldin. Overall, the entire available roster saw action, and it was truly a team performance.

Wednesday's contest against the Sailfish will afford FAU one final tune up game before hitting the road to face a talented Virginia Commonwealth squad who has taken down Syracuse, while hanging close to within 8 and 7 point losses to both #2 Baylor and #17 UCONN respectively.

From an injury standpoint, the Owls have faired very well thus far. Guard Nick Boyd, the lone aside who saw a preseason foot injury, is making progress in his rehabilitation and is currently on track to make a return later in the schedule.

Guard Everett Winchester is presently leading Florida Atlantic in field goal efficiency at 58.1% from the floor on 25-of-43 shooting.

11:20 2nd:  FAU 57  PBA 45

Palm Beach Atlantic has used a vastly different line-up than expected so far tonight and it has paid dividends.

Leading scorer Will Lee taking only three shots, and non-starter guards Marcus Montalvo and Nate Ward getting the nod.

They lead the way with 12 and 11 points respectively.

BUT the Owls are not having the close proximity and are starting to…
