Trailing 3-1 after one and 4-2 after two, FAU comes back to tie in the final minute before winning in a shootout over Embry Riddle, on the road, to start the season. The teams play again tonight, and the Owls have the home opener against very strong USF next Friday night.

Nice! Good job not giving up down 2 in the 3rd period. Tough to over come 2 goal deficits and then on top of that win in the shootout.

Do you guys have OT first than a shootout or straight to a shootout?

They have 5 minutes of 4 on 4 OT and then onto the shootout.

The Owls beat Embry Riddle 5-3 on Saturday night and end the first weekend 2-0. They play USF this Friday night in the home opener at 8:15 (Saveology.com Iceplex). The game should be available to listen to online with my call at www.fauhockey.com/live

Tough loss for the Owls last weekend (nearly tied it in the third but a controversial call put things in the wrong direction). They face a very tough University of Miami team this weekend (Friday in Kendall, Saturday at home).

Tough season so far for FAU Hockey with a brutal schedule, but they're back in action tonight. Doesn't get any easier at home against #1 in the South, UCF. I'll go live at www.fauhockey.com/live a few minutes after 8:30 tonight.

Last games of the season tonight and tomorrow at Saveology against UF. Would be great to see a lot of people there for senior captain Mike Cupolo's final games.
