I always have a blast at the Hard Rock Casino. There are clubs (for the record, I could care less about the clubs), bars, Improv and the casino.

Re: For Visiting Fans: Things to do in, and around, Boca Raton...

My father and mother are enjoying their recent retirements, and are vacationing in Key West now, but are heading to Boca on Friday for the entire MT vs. FAU baseball series.

Give me some good local haunts. Burger joints, seafood, whatever— I just need the best.

Pricey is fine, but would prefer to keep it within reason. Wouldn't mind a couple of rec's with a water view (intercoastal, lake, ocean).

For example…… we love a little joint in Ft. Lauderdale called SouthPort Raw Bar.

Would prefer no national chains (local chains are fine). Doesn't necessarily have to be in Boca Raton, just the general area.

Thanks in advance ! Wasn't sure if I should have posted this on the football board or not.

Ocean Front - Deerfield Beach @ JB's on the Beach, decent food, directly on the beach  $$$

Best raw bar around (not on the water, across from ocean) Deerfield Beach @ Whales Rib $$

Waterfront (Intercoastal) - Deerfield Beach @ The Cove, so so food but nice atmosphere if your not from here. $$

Waterfront (Intercoastal) - Boynton Beach @ Two Georges, decent food right on the water $$

SouthPort is great.

The Whales Rib's food in Deerfield Beach is untouchable though.

The Upperdeck of Bostons in Delray Beach is pretty nice if you're from out of town.

Whales rib was actually on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.

In boca probably the best subs youll ever have are at La Spadas.

I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$ and I'm out of bubble gum.

Not sure if you like Cuban food or not…but, if you do, Little Havana on Federal in Deerfield beach is quite good…

Thanks folks. I love Cuban food.

I think the parents like it OK. I sent them to a Cuban place at Mallory Square in KW.

Where is the best Cuban Sandwich in the Boca Raton area ?

Any good burger joint dives ?

I will be emailing him all of your recs. They'll be taking our baseball broadcaster (Palmer) out to eat, so I'm sure he'll mention the good eats on the radio.

Agreed. I was also going to recommend this… especially since it's right down the street from campus.

Burger joint dives… the only two that come to mind are Charm City Burgers in Boca and Heartstoppers Sports Grill in Delray - both of which I can only recommend based on word-of-mouth reputation since I haven't eaten there.

If they are wanting a Cuban Sandwich, then go to The Cuban Cafe.

Great spot, and "mom and pop" all the way…authentic and very reasonably priced.

They also offer a milk shake, from scratch, that is sweetened with freshly milled sugar cane if you like…thanks goes to FAU SID Katrina McCormack for this tip…she mentioned it yesterday…
