I hope you guys don't get the stadium for a while, only because I want FIU to have an advantage for a while. But in all honesty with the success of your program, you might be able to raise a good chunk of change on your own. Think of the bowl game money….

I realize how upsetting it has to be to watch us (FIU) have our dreams realized. By 2011, we should have gone through multiple phases of our stadium project and the FIU Main street project. That will really help us out not only on the football front but just as a university overall. At some point you guys will get the stadium and all the pessimism will be for nothing. With the increase in the SBC's bow affiliations, even if you don't win the SBC and just get bowl eligible, you could be looking at an extra 600k payday or whatever the bowl games are paying out….

Just think forward to like, I dunno 2013….. If both of our programs continue to grow, especially with on campus stadiums, and get better, we could end up being the next big rivalry in the state of Florida. God that would be awesome! Especially if FIU came out on top (most of the time) ;D  ;D ;D ;D ;D

we made $14k on the Bowl last year after all expenses were removed, etc..to get anything bid wise above that would take some major wins OOC and to sweep the Belt…aint happening this year, that's for sure…

Yeah, I crapped myself twice today already.

Ok well, that sucks about the bowl game money. After I posted that I realized that I forgot about the money getting split between the SBC teams. Guess you will have to win a few more bowl games then……

Also I don't mean you guys are depressed about us getting the stadium, but probably a little ticked considering you have had more success on the field than we have. You don't have to get too saucy with me, I don't say anything with the intentions of sounding condescending.

It's not as if it's really new.  I mean, you've been playing there all along.  If we weren't jealous in 2002, we're probably not going to be jealous now.  Ours is coming – two years, baby.

Well we were playing in a glorified high school stadium, but I guess I was just reading into what thought was frustration. BTW, the crapping yourself comeback was pretty darn funny, I can't lie. Anyway, I am glad to hear you guys will be getting an on campus stadium, just because it can only improve the rivalry between us.

I don't know all the details about that – something to do with the agreement we made with Dolphin Stadium to move to Lockhart.  I don't think we can play you at the new stadium until 2014.  I know, weird.

Well I will just ask one of the guys at the football offices tomorrow when I go in, but I think it could be a really cool neutral site. Could you imagine if FIU and FAU fans were split down the middle like they do for the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party???? Man if we could get like 30-40 thousand people there to do that, it would look so awesome.

But i think they will look to buy it out…just speculation at this point…but totally deserving…we have ZERO home field advantage when they start playing well, which they are well on the way to that now…
