Really, What is the hold up on the Loan? Is the Bank holding it up or are just looking things over and the bank is just waiting for us to sign the loan? This really sucks that the Stadium is still not guaranteed yet!
I think the structure currently rising from the ground means that it is pretty guaranteed…
The structure coming out of the ground does not mean its guaranteed. I seen plenty of abandon construction site due to lack of funds. But anyway I am shocked the loan was not sign yet and I hope that by next week it will be sign and there will absolutely nothing to stop us. Think positive thoughts :

Yep. I passed by today. It looked like they had some sort of wall up already. Not sure of it was temporary, for concrete forming, but there is was…too cool!

But close on the freaking loan already!!!!!!!!!! Then we can all feel comfortable that this is truly a done deal. Go Owls… beat MTSU and Troy and go bowling! As Rob S. says "you can do it!".

Come on FAU, act professionally, set a firm closing date with the bank, with an accompanying news conference and photo op and get it done!

Act professionally?
Every time someone closes a loan doesn't mean there are balloons and confetti. It's a business deal, not mardi gras. The press conference and hoopla has been completed.
The stadium is a done deal. Drive by. Look at it. FAU is so conservative, do you think for a second that they would be doing the construction if there were problems?
They get second guessed at every single thing they do.
Enjoy it.

Re: Small Stadium update...
ALL of our biggest complaints about poor recruiting stem from playing in Lockhart. Use EVERY OPPORTUNITY to tell ALL of South Florida what we are doing at FAU. Get the word out to ALL the recruits and their families at EVERY OPPORTUNITY and at any EXCUSE to issus press releases and have the press on campus to broadcast or print news of what we will soon have.
We have to give these recruits AND the paying public as well, a reason to want to play for and support the Owl's, and being a SunBelt member and getting our asses handed to use in almost all OOC games ain't gonna cut it.
This stadium and what it can do for the team and the school have to be maximized now. Playing in Lockhart, we are lucky to be a FBS program in the Belt, in the new on-campus home, we can move up to a better conference, bring in better recruits and more people into the stadium to pay for it. In short to build the program and expand the fan base!
I cannot overstate my thinking of the importance of public relations and communication, especially at this critical point in the program and for the school.

Yes I think they should publicize the contract signing, and everything else about this stadium. After all, we are not closing on a 100K loan for a home, but a MULTI-MILLION dollar investment the school and program will have to pay for.

Those are all good points for recruiting and getting publicity, but none of them have anything to do with acting professionally which was my point.
