Stadium Pics on TH's blog

Just dont name em Golden Showers waterfalls.  :P

Actually that gives me a good idea. We should put the UCF logo in all the urinals, give us something to aim at. Have that gay knight right in the center of the urinal. I bet the bathrooms would be pretty clean then lol

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Re: Stadium Pics on TH's blog

Anybody notice that in one of the pictures it looks like we are playing USF (by colors at least).

Re: Stadium Pics on TH's blog

I was actually thinking we could put the UCF logo on the bowl fresheners of the urinals. That was we can "put out the fire" all over their logos.

Florida State did something similar one year, except it was a picture of Steve Spurrier.

Re: Stadium Pics on TH's blog

The renderings look great! There's a lot of good ideas in them. I like the awning the most. It makes the stadium unique and reminds me of the fully-covered Dome.

It's really difficult to judge the capacity. UCF's stadium was projected to cost $40 million (actual cost: $55 million), ours will cost $62 million, but you have to account for higher construction costs here. The sidelines in ours look larger (probably for soccer). The shape is more "square". The media/suite tower appears to be shorter but wider (which I like). It also appears to be a full structure from the ground-up, not just the portion above the seats. The structures surrounding the stadium look far more integrated, which is also nice.

However, take these renderings with a grain of salt. The illustrated seating is too much. The seating appears to be the same amount as UCF's stadium (45k) - the complete bowl. Ours will have as close to 30k seats as possible. The curved design features will likely go as well (the roof of the building on the south side and the western side of the tower). This was designed to impress donors, not as a blueprint.

The BEST rendering is the one where the beach is showing. Is there anywhere else you can watch football and the ocean at the same time? That truly is "football in paradise".

People have also been known to fill the urinals at FSU with rubber gators when UF comes to town.

GO OWLS!!!

Another idea might be to sell spots on the bottom of the toilets… This should be reserved only for others schools in our conference  ;D

Re: Stadium Pics on TH's blog

Well this thread has gone up in smoke.  Hope it doesn't get linked to another school's open board.  Just a kind warning.

BTW, it won't be me doing it.

The renderings look nice.  Looking forward to seeing the architect's renderings when one is hired.  FWIW, UCF used 360 Architecture.
