Poll?? What poll??
Earlier I was talking about FAU putting up the four different design pictures on the Athletics and/or IV website and saying, "Alright FAU fans, this is going to be YOUR stadium. Which of the following designs do you like best?" And then you could voice your opinion.
Doesn't mean they have to go with the opinion but if they're unsure which route to go, they could look at the data from the poll and say. "The diehards seemed to really like the third one" etc.

This line is from a post from back in May, does this website or page exist yet??? If so, would someone please post a link so that the many of us interested can visit it. Thanks for any help or info.
On another note, I just read an article which told of the millioins of jobs lost in this recession which will never be filled and that specifically construction workers in Florida will need to reloctae to other areas for work. I am still just amazed at the hundreds of billions spent in corporate "bail-outs" and economic "stimulus" monies that somehow $10M could not have been loaned/appropriated to FAU for the Innovation Village project as the seed money to begin construction on a massive project building dorms (both phases could have been done at once for a far cheaper cost) and stadiums (football and new arena) and a new I-95 exit. We all know, once it is built, sponsors will jump at the chance to sponsor it. And that would have than repaid the "loan" and we would not have had to sign a questionable ecomic deal with the developer just to get the dorms started. It appears now we are gonna be screwed out of the ability to "use' that cash as the "down payment" on the stadium construction, at least not near to the level that was planned for.
Think of the THOUSANDS of workers in both construction and support that could have been put back to work, and the opportunity to build these projects at a time when costs would have been the lowest we will ever see again! is it too late??? Or are we prepared to jump for it and go after it "if" another round of Federal "stimulus" dollars are approved. The way the current "recovery" is "slowing", it very well could happen.
This is a public University is it not? Then why, for God's sake, can we not get or use Federal and State dollars to make major improvements to the FAU campus. You show me most any campus of an established University and the government helped to build those campuses! Why not now???
FAU, BE READY, BE AGGRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
