AF OL; 280-280-265-285-275 from LT to RT SMALL for todays day and age. Nowhere near the size and power of OU (thank God!).

DL needs to wreck havoc in the BACKFIELD and force TURNOVERS! LB's need to fill lanes and seal edges with the CB's.

AND ALL OF 'EM NEED TO TACKLE!

You know the triple option requires smaller linemen?

It’s not and advantage.
The reason all the service academy’s run the triple option is because despite playing football they still have to meet military height and weight standards (each branch is different) so they run and offense that doesn’t require 320lbs linemen. Being smaller and quick allows to to move an cut easier.

I know that but they do have several 300+ pounders on the roster.  I am just saying we will not b pushed around like OU

I think what Shane means is that you don't need massive lineman to chop block the d-line's knees, which is exactly what we will see tomorrow.

Air Force fan here looking for a good game with no injuries to either team (and no lightning delays as we had two in Colorado Springs last Saturday).  Note you will indeed see the legal cut block but hopefully will not see or get called for the illegal chop block.  Two different things!  A chop block occurs when a blocker is engaging an opponent above the waist and his teammate makes a delayed block at or below the knees. It's always illegal.

who ever decides that 2pm kickoff is good for attendance obviously never sat in the stands during a football game in South Florida in September

Word is the coaches wanted it to make it more difficult for Air Force with the heat and humidity at sea level.

If that's all they need I could have stayed home and watched it in the AC! Ha

@ItcPilot… 2:00 in September , in South Florida is brutal. Our metal stadium will increase the air temperature. The plastic seats will actually burn the back of your thighs. As of tonight, 60% chance of rain. That may actually be a savior. But, with afternoon showers comes lightening. I called it a week ago. I can't predict the score. But I will predict lightening within 15 miles of the stadium. But in defense of the great minds in our athletic department, there is no time, that is any better than the next ,to avoid lightening.
