An impressive FAU drive ends prematurely due to a fumble.

C-USA refs are a special breed…

What I think happened with with fumble for TD brought back to the 1 yard line is because it was 4th down.

In the NFL if it’s 4th down and you fumble into the end zone even if your team recovers it it’s a touchback and the other team gets the ball with no points scored.

I’m not sure why we kept the ball since the fumble was on 4th down. Either the rule is different in college or the refs made a mistake.

Maybe since Posey got the first down on the run it wasn’t a touchback.

In the NFL if it’s 4th and goal and the offensive team fumbles into the end zone even if the offense recovers it it’s a touchback I think. It’s a little known rule that barely happens

The radio broadcasting crew didn’t realize that it was because it was a 4th down it got brought back. :)

UMASS is consistently leaving keep all 11 within 10 yards of the LOS.

Posey has show a some semblance of ability to make a pass in rhythm.

We're through the first 15 in Paradise. The Owls have outgained UMass in the first session 140-25 yards.

Must be a 4th down rule. My under grad alma mater is Stetson. They won a game on the last play of the game when the receiver well short of the end zone was fumbled about 10 yards short of the end zone and a trailing Stetson player picked up the fumble and scored. The other team went ballistic but it was a legal TD.

No dice… FAU turns the ball over on downs after Posey's pass falls incomplete. UMass will take over on their own 20.

The Owls need to find a way to complete a pass longer than 5 yards. UMass is not respecting the passing game at all, stacking the vast majority of their defenders in the box almost every play.

When we pass, they are not afraid to blitz either.

The FAU defense forces their third three-and-out so far. Owls will take over on their own 33 yard line.
