Mark, will see you in the store on Nov. 2nd! Don't know if it will be before or after the game yet though. Thinking after so we don't miss too much Homecoming pregame stuff! Will celebrate the Owls Homecoming game VICTORY over Tulane with ya!

I need the owl head decal with the FAU letters on top and the red banner between the head and letters that says FLORIDA ATLANTIC.
Nobody has this decal. The bookstore had it listed on their website, but it was a mistake on their part.
I need 2 decals with those descriptions.

NITE-OWL,

The logo you describe has been phased out and no longer used by FAU Athletics.  The logo still exists as an "Institutional" logo meaning it can be used for internal purposes.  This is why you cannot find it.  One of Pat Chun's first items of business was to reduce the number of logos in use by Athletics in order to make the Athletics brand more recognizable.  The other logos became Institutional logos so they won't completely disappear.  Those other logos will appear on things around campus.

Athletics uses 3 logos.
  1. The full spread Owl with "FAU" on top and "Florida Atlantic" on the red ribbon in the middle.
  2. The winged letters "FAU" with the words 'Florida Atlantic" underneath.
  3. The full spread Owl with no words (the logo on the Football Helmet).

Hope this helps…

thanks for the info.
Pat Chun decided to go with a logo that looks similar to Temple, Rice and Kenessaw, while the owl head was very unique.

I'm not really sure why Athletics even needs to have its own logo separate from the "institutional logo" (owl head)? Anything the Athletics logo is on can be represented by the owl head.

Kennesaw is close:

Rice emphasizes the "R", the team store uses a spread wing logo:
RICEOWLS.COM - The Rice Official Athletic Site

Temple's Owl looks nothing like ours:

MBB vs. USF and Memphis

You might not like the change and at first I didn't like it…but it has grown on me and I think it is a better logo.

Shout Out to all the great FAU fans out there who stopped by It's Owl Time - The Store on Saturday and made it the most successful day in Store history.

Thank you!

Great news!!  Congratulations!  If you didn't make it out there yesterday…make sure you get to Mark's store before the next home game.  We have to keep supporting him!  The BIG corporations (Barnes and Noble, they don't care about you anyway) don't need your money, but a family owned local business man does.

GO OWLS!

Members,

As many of you already know, www.ItsOwlTime.com is owned and operated by long time Nest Member fauowl.

Accordingly, it is our pleasure to announce a 2012-13 sponsorship with www.ItsOwlTime.com as the official sponsor for any and all things Owl Gear related; for both members and guests who frequent The Owls Nest.

Please make it a point to consider them as your "first stop" when in the market for FAU branded merchandise.

They have the ability to customize T-Shirts with no quantity restrictions, amongst a plethora of other quality and affordably priced items such as towels, tailgating gear, jackets, key chains, etc.

And if they don't carry something you are looking for, they will find a way to get it for you!

We look forward to working with their team, and thank you in advance for your consideration!

Rick, Thanks for adding the audio (to this post) of our Radio Spot being played during the basketball broadcasts.  Hopefully no one hears it because everyone is at the Game!!   :)

For those interested, we have acquired the FAU wardrobe of former FAU football Coach, Jeff Sims, and are offering it on our "Used" rack.  Some of it wasn't worn, but we still sell it as used.  Size is XL.  Polos, jackets, shorts, hats, sideline Adidas Climalite shirts.  Some good stuff.  We even have one of those hats that The Afterlifemobile was looking for...
