His first day will be March 1st. 

I assume the new prez is on campus now. First day at work? Any news?

I don't know if he's on campus today, Tuesday and Wednesday he's up in Tally for the opening of the legislation session.

He sent a tweet out today that he was on the ground at FAU and moving into the Baldwin house.

The first few months could be uneventful as he gets up to speed with the people and the campus.  Sounds like his first priority is improving student success and that's a complicated issue, as we've talked about.

Outside of that, I wouldn't be surprised if one of his first major projects was getting the hotel/conference center on campus. IIRC they want to put out the RFP this Fall and that seems like the kind of partnership that's up Kelly's alley.
