Great win tonight, too bad there were not more there to see it, but I suppose valentines day and the weather had something to do with that. Luckily my date loves FAU sports as much as I do!

That was an impressive game by FAU, sans the failure to beat the press late. It seemed the Owls really made the FTs to clinch it and played some tough defense when they had to. That was a nice change.

I saw a great player start to shine in Moody (recalled Ray Taylor in his great year) and Gantt was fantastic. Dragan was frustratingly weak and then made a few good plays. Bertone has become a solid contributor.

The crowd was very disappointing. It was only lightly raining just before and during the game. The atmosphere was pretty weak. As usual, WKU brought a good visiting crowd. (The same thing will probably be seen of Marshall, which travels well, in the coming years.)

The FAU basketball band has been really great this season.

A student newspaper photographer and I were the only still shooters there. I can't remember the last time I saw a Post or Sun-Sentinel photographer there. That's pathetic.
