GAME THREAD: LaTech @ FAU - January 31, 2019
HALFTIME | #FAU 28 - #LaTech 23

Stapleton sees his put-back at the buzzer called off by the refs. Still a fantastic half for the former Bulldog, as he leads all scorers with 10 points.

Team looks good. Very sloppy though.
Davian looks confident early, which is good.
No idea how that basket at the buzzer didn’t count.
Burrow atmosphere is real low tonight though.Posted On: Jan 31st 2019, 7:49 PM #384892
I think the only thing sloppier is watching LaTech try to penetrate our 2-3 zone.
The red light on the backboard was off by about a quarter of a second. Stapleton just BARELY missed it.
And I'm quite disappointed in the turnout tonight. I know the first waves of exams are this week, but this is still pretty rough. Makes me wonder if the loss to FIU at home has a role in this.
Former Head Coach Mike Jarvis is in the house!
List this under a pleasant sight we did not expect to see: Former #FAU Basketball Head Coach @CoachMikeJarvis chatting with current AD @Brian_E_White_.

Welcome back to The Burrow, Coach! pic.twitter.com/t6p3NSHrs7
Team is back in the court. Adger has yet to make his mark on the scoresheet. #FAU can pull away if he is able to get going.

Adger and Lepichev are finally on the scoresheet. If they can continue their offensive output, the Owls could pull away.

Silins hits a pair of free throws to extend the Owls' lead back to two possessions. The Bulldogs are clawing back because FAU has only made 2 of their last 10 FGs.

Buckle up #OwlNation, the Owls just can't shake the Bulldogs away. Neither team has scored a FG in over 2:50. Owls are in the double bonus, Bulldogs are one foul away from the double bonus.

Bulldogs bring the difference to a single point before Forrest hits a GORGEOUS floater. Lepichev then gets his second FG of the contest with a strong layup while getting fouled.
Owls now with the most wins since joining C-USA, and in Dusty May's first season!

That's two straight wins for FAU (13-9, 4-5), surpassing last season's win-total in the process. Owls dominate the Bulldgos, having led for over 33 minutes tonight!

All despite yet ANOTHER injury - can't believe everything this team has had to endure.
Said it before and will say it again:

Troopers, and if Coach May keeps the guys on this path he should considered for Coach of the Year given all of the circumstances which were dealt with and overcome.
Go Owls!
