Four league games, three matchups against American Athletic Conference schools and one contest at a nationally-ranked Big Ten power make up this Saturday’s schedule in Conference USA.
Florida Atlantic visits Charlotte to begin the day’s conference slate. The visiting team has won all four meetings in this East Division series.
A pair of West Division contests kick when Louisiana Tech visits Rice and UTEP plays at Southern Miss. The Bulldogs will be looking for a fourth straight victory this year and a sixth consecutive win over the Owls, who are playing in Houston for the fourth straight week. The Golden Eagles have taken the last four matchups against the Miners as both teams open C-USA play.
UAB will make a visit to WKU for the first time since 2014, seeing to improve to 4-0 . The Hilltoppers are coming off a bye week and will be turning to a new quarterback in this one.
Two of the matchups against the American will be available via CBS Sports Network on Facebook. Cincinnati will play at Marshall in the first matchup, with Houston visiting North Texas in the nightcap.
After a valiant effort at No. 21 Virginia, Old Dominion returns home to take on East Carolina in Norfolk for the first time. Middle Tennessee comes off a bye week with a trip to No. 14 Iowa, its first meeting with the Hawkeyes.

I'm impressed. Robison, tronti is a great combination. Davidson is out next star rb. Out defense was outstanding. Special teams was ok. Over all a great win. Nice coaching job by all involved. Excellent game plan. We kicked their tails. Chris Robison is lplaying amazing.Posted On: Sep 28th 2019, 8:19 PM #389241
Totally setting up Tronti for the deep pass by having him run the ball.
I liked the change up, and that's not to take anything away from the tremendous efforts by Robison. He looks much more poised, polished, and mature this season. Keep up the good work Chris!

The struggling former C-USA member pulls out another close one against the Monarchs.
Last year's meeting was a 37-35 loss for ODU, at the hands of a Pirate FG with less than a minute to go.
Special teams once again proved critical on Saturday as the Monarchs fell victim to blocked punt that resulted in a ECU TD.

The Blazers suffer a 13 point defeat against the line.
Great to rebuild, and momentum is always there when it happens, but it is now time to sustain.
This was a definite setback for a squad that hoped to show the league they were on solid footing.
The Toppers had just 33 yards on the ground, but took advantage of four (INT) turnovers.
