FIU beat Miami just a few weeks ago and then lost to a Sunbelt team last night. Interesting.
Congratulations ASU.

Wondering if they consider a 6-7 year a "good year" for that lone win; granted a huge win for the program – but seems sort of like a blip now.

GASPARILLA BOWL FINAL:

Marshall 25  UCF 48

C-USA now 1-4 in Bowl Games, BIG shift over last season so far.

Marshall had five turnovers on their first five possessions and dug themselves in a huge hole. Two of the turnovers went for TDs and they fumbled through the back of the end zone on a long pass play that looked like a sure TD.

Essentially they gave up 21 points. Two UCF scored on and took away a sure TD with a fumble through the back of the zone. Announced attendance was 28,000 in a 65,000 seat venue but the bad weather made it appear they were far fewer fans there.

CUSA IS looking bad this bowl season! Gotta sweep last 3 to just finish at .500. And the losses are bad losses too!!!!!

C-USA teams were/are underdogs in every game according to Vegas.

Outside of FAU, all the other C-USA teams in my opinion were pretty mediocre to downright awful this year.  Marshall has to play a very clean game to compete with good teams.  Us losing to the Herd this season and them getting crushed could hurt our top-25 chances.  Man - wish we had that one back!!!  For that matter, wish we had the UCF game back.  Not saying we would beat the Knights, but I think we were a whole lot better than the team that hosted UCF in week #2 and the game should have been (now would be) much more competitive.

UCF lost to a 4-8 Tulsa. South Carolina was 4-8 but beat a Georgia team with its third string QB at Georgia. Yet Georgia won the SEC East. South Carolina got clobbered by many of the SEC teams that Georgia beat including UF, Tennesee, Missouri and Texas A & M. They even lost to Applachian State.

LA Tech just shut out Miami?

Walk-On Independence Bowl Final:

LA Tech 14 Miami 0

Miami lost to 2 CUSA teams this year

FAU - THE REAL SLEEPING GIANT

The Miami loss to FIU was highly embarrassing. La Tech is a better team than FIU.  La Tech had suspensions when they played UAB.

La Tech is the 2nd team in CUSA but the QB screwed the team with the suspension then in true millennial fashion they awarded him offensive player of the year, ridiculous.

Miami is a really bad football team right now.  Diaz has 12 months to turn this around or he’s done.  Wow those two games were ugly.  How bout them canes

GO OWLS!
