SERIES THREAD: Northeastern vs FAU - March 6th-8th, 2020

Good win last night. I've worried we wouldn't be able to win those type of low scoring tight ballgames with the way our pitching has been early on this season. It's good to see our staff showing positive improvement from the first few series even against tougher competition. Keep it going tonight.Posted On: Mar 7th 2020, 12:52 PM #394425
Sigh, need to delete 2nd half of this comment. Northeastern not a bad club, but 9 runs thru 7 innings to this team is straight garbage.
The Huskies had a great day offensively. FAU pitching staff couldn't muster anything to stop the onslaught.
FINAL. #NU 10 - #FAU 7.

Owls fall to 8-5 on the year after giving up 14 hits to the Huskies. This is @FAU_Baseball's first loss to a team that's not ranked in the Top 25.

That could be worth looking at. After only throwing two pitchers on Friday, I was disappointed to see so many arms used in a losing effort last night.
Meanwhile, the Owls are still looking for their first hit of the day.
#FAU's bats are struggling early as the Owls have yet to record a hit.

To make matters worse, the Huskies send a couple across the plate via a pair of RBI singles before a three-run HR goes beyond RF.
Owls certainly have their work cut out for them, trailing #NU 5-0 in the 4th
Yesterday, it was the pitching that let us down. Today, it was the bats. Disappointing…
FINAL. #NU 6 - #FAU 1.

Just not our day. @FAU_Baseball falls to 9-6, losing their first Weekend Series of the season with the Huskies taking two of three games.
The Owls mustered just two hits. one from DeSantolo and Alvaraz.
