C-USA East Division Scenarios
Holy smokes… we may be getting some massive news from C-USA any minute now regarding game's next week.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR: Marshall vs. FIU to get cancelled, Marshall vs. Charlotte back on. That would put three C-USA teams all with one loss in play: Marshall, FAU, and Charlotte.
Does this make any sense!? 🤔🤔

If #FAU beats #USM & #Marshall vs #FIU is cancelled, the Owls will finish with a higher winning % & be crowned the C-USA East Division Regular Season Champions. BUT per new #CUSA rules released last week, MU would go to the #CUSA Championship. 💩
Marshall will now play Charlotte, a much more challenging opponent than winless and COVID ravaged FIU.
BREAKING: @ConferenceUSA has cancelled @HerdFB's contest vs. #FIU. #Marshall (4-1) will now play @CharlotteFTBL (2-1, playing #WKU tomorrow). Game will be held Friday at 6:30pm in Huntington.

Remember, Marshall, FAU, and Charlotte all currently have one in-conference loss. Marshall and FAU have one conference game remaining while Charlotte has an extra game-in-hand. The 49ers will play WKU Sunday, 12/6.

Charlotte falls to WKU.
FAU falls to USM.
Charlotte beats Marshall.
FAU, Marshall, and Charlotte would all have two loses, and a three-way tie in the head-to-head tiebreak.
That's right, the team that said they should've be punished for not having an outbreak will now punish FAU for having an outbreak.
BREAKING: #Marshall has cancelled their game vs. #Charlotte due to a #COVID19 outbreak within the Marshall program.

Unless @ConferenceUSA changes the rules (again), Marshall will now go to the #CUSA Championship no matter if #FAU beats #USM or not.
JUST IN: If under any circumstance #Marshall is unable to field a team in the #CUSA Championship game, #FAU will take it's place.

This is regardless of @FAUFootball's result vs. #USM as the Owls hold the tiebreaker over 2-loss #Charlotte. pic.twitter.com/wyOWKgoe0F

If Marshall is unable to play Friday due to COVID cases, contact tracing, and injuries, then how will they be able to field a team eight days later?

It will be funny when Marshall remarkably has a team next week.
1. Marshall has a big outbreak, making it unlikely they will be ready to play the Champ game.
2. They will be ready, which shows they probably could have played and only confirms what some may be thinking.
It has been pointed out that if Marshall can not play in the champ game, the number two team is up.
If we win, we will probably spend time preparing for the west chance until someone tells us not to.
