FINAL:

UConn 33  FIU 12

Turnovers, and a failed first and goal which would have made it a six point contest with plenty of time left, thwart the Panthers, who drop to 2-3.

After hauling in six catches for 193 yards and a touchdown in a win over Middle Tennessee Saturday afternoon, UAB WR Trea Shropshire was voted C-USA Offensive Player of the Week.

Louisiana Tech DB Myles Brooks took home Defensive Player of the Week honors following a pick-six at a key moment just before halftime to help lift the Bulldogs to a 41-31 win over UTEP.

UTSA K Jared Sackett was named C-USA Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season after hitting a 49-yard field goal and having three touchbacks in the win over WKU in Saturday’s rematch of last year’s championship game.
