Another NT error allowed Gressley to score again in the sixth inning, pulling the Owls to within 5-4. The Mean Green scored twice in the home half of the sixth to take a 7-4 lead. FAU loaded the bases in the seventh, but was unable to score. The Owls got off to another fast start in the second game, scoring three runs in the first inning on hits by Kerri Croney and Jessica Myers. A Kirstin Austin grounder scored Joshlyn Martinez in the second inning to put FAU 4-0. NTs only run of the second game came when Taylor Fawbush walked a batter with the bases loaded. The bases were still loaded with just one out, but back-to-back popouts ended the inning. Fawbush scattered seven hits while pitching a complete game for her sixth win of the year. The two teams will meet in the rubber game of the series. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
