Men's Golf Enjoys Inspiring Results for 2009

Golf does not get alot of attention, but Owl Fans should note the strides that the FAU men's golf team made this past season.  Head Coach Angelo Sands and his student-athletes did a remarkarble job in 2009 moving the university's national ranking up 114 spots over the previous year.  Sands displayed proficient leadership and coaching, guiding the team towards lowering its overall average by over 15 strokes-per-round.

Recently, the the Owls were featured on GolfWeekTV, while being mentioned as one of the "nation's fastest rising programs" having won its first major tournament championship in 2009, claiming all three of its duel meets, and seeing sophomore Kelly McHugh become FAU's first men's golfer to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

GolfWeekTV joins several other media outlets who have also recognized Florida Atlantic as being one of the NCAA's most improved teams.
