"Up Close" with Keith Reaser

kiethreaserheadshot2010

For redshirt-freshman Keith Reaser speed isn’t a problem. A track athlete out of high school, Reaser says that he is so fast, when he got to FAU he asked coaches to run events individually if the school couldn’t form a track team.

Redshirting last season, Reaser worked on the scout team in the fall and had to cover some of the Owls top receiver’s in Chris Boner and Cortez Gent during practice, which helped him gain valuable experience. After an impressive spring camp, Reaser is set to backup fifth-year senior Tavious Polo this season. Given the chance, he would also like to return kickoffs.

A participant in the AAU Junior Olympic Games when he was nine years old, Reaser has always been quick. During his senior year at Killian High School in Miami, Florida, Reaser recorded 40 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back, while also running for the track team.  Reaser qualified for states that season in the 100 and 200-meter events running a 10.7 and 21.51 respectively.

Reaser recently sat down with us for “Up Close”.
