"Up Close" with Kevin Cyrille

kevincyrilleheadshot2010

Kevin Cyrille comes into the 2010 season as one of FAU’s top defensive lineman, after leading the unit in tackles last season with 40 and managing 11.5 tackles for loss. Adding three sacks as well, Cyrille was arguably the most productive member on the defensive line. Set to hold down his starting position after starting all 12 games last season, Cyrille will look to become one of the Sun Belts top defenders this fall.

A transfer from Western Michigan in the spring of 2007, Cyrille decided to come home and play football in South Florida after originally starting his career up north. Cyrille sat out his first year on the Florida Atlantic campus while in the transition process and then redshirted the next year to develop on the scout team.

A local from the Miami area, Cyrille played high school football at North Miami Beach High School. Tallying 62 tackles and 15 sacks his senior year, Cyrille was honored as an All-Dade county performer.

Cyrille recently sat down with us for “Up Close”.
