It proved to be a challenging week for FAU following their series win on the road against USF.

Despite putting up a fierce battle in a 10-8 loss to the Florida Gators, the Owls succumbed to a 27-1 run deficit in the initial two clashes against UAB. However, they rallied with a remarkable 6-5 walk-off triumph in the series finale. Nevertheless, they find themselves in a tie for fourth place in the AAC standings alongside Tulane and Wichita State.

Carter Brady and John Schroeder emerged as standout performers for FAU on the offensive front. Brady, notably securing the walk-off single on Sunday, delivered four RBI and a home run throughout the UAB series. Meanwhile, Schroeder contributed four RBI, showing promise for an upcoming strong hitting display after a 4-15 performance against Florida and UAB.

FGCU got their overall record back above water after sweeping their three-game series against Jacksonville.

Following a 3-2 victory in the series opener that lasted 10 innings, the Eagles outscored the Dolphins 21-11 while they proceeded to take the series in convincing fashion to boost their standing in the Atlantic Sun.

Ian Farrow emerges as a standout force in FGCU's lineup, boasting a .382 batting average, 35 RBI, and 13 home runs, making him a formidable presence at the plate. Currently ranked 119th nationally for home runs, containing his power becomes imperative for the FAU bullpen.

Not to be underestimated, Jacob Lojewski, Charles Davalan, and Mac Moise pose significant threats for the Owls. Lojewski leads the team with 43 RBI, while the trio collectively showcases prowess with 45 doubles and seven triples, capable of turning the tide with their impactful plays.

After these contest, the Eagles return to Fort Myers to host a three-game set against Eastern Kentucky for the weekend starting May 10th at 6:30 PM EST. The series will be broadcast on ESPN+.
