FAU Women�s Hoops Falls to USF 80-46

The Florida Atlantic University women�s basketball team dropped their third straight game on Tuesday night, falling to USF 80-46 at the Sun Dome.�

The Owls (2-6) opened the game with a layup by Teri Stamps but that was the only lead of the night for FAU.

The Bulls (5-3) ran off 14 straight points afterwards to stay in front for good.�

Stamps has 12 points for FAU and led the team with three assists. Lyrell Barfield began to regain her shooting touch, leading the team with 18 points and knocking down 2-of-7 shots from the outside.�

Andrell Smith led all scorers with 23 points, well above her season average of 4 points per game. Her twin sister, Andrea, finished with 18 points and six rebounds.�

FAU is off until December 12th, when they take on Georgia Southern at 2 p.m.
