The Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball team dropped their third straight game on Tuesday night, falling to USF 80-46 at the Sun Dome.
The Owls (2-6) opened the game with a layup by Teri Stamps but that was the only lead of the night for FAU.
The Bulls (5-3) ran off 14 straight points afterwards to stay in front for good.
Stamps has 12 points for FAU and led the team with three assists. Lyrell Barfield began to regain her shooting touch, leading the team with 18 points and knocking down 2-of-7 shots from the outside.
Andrell Smith led all scorers with 23 points, well above her season average of 4 points per game. Her twin sister, Andrea, finished with 18 points and six rebounds.
FAU is off until December 12th, when they take on Georgia Southern at 2 p.m.
