FAU Football Coaches Hit The Road
After celebrating National Coaches Day on Thursday, and having a weekend away from the sidelines, the Florida Atlantic football staff will instead take to the ground and the air on Friday for a weekend full of action on the recruiting trail.
And with a well orchestrated plan now in motion, they will look to see the entire tally of talented prospects who are pledged to the Owls' upcoming class of 2023 this weekend.
The department's twitter account, which has seen a dramatic uptick in followers over the last year, has been buzzing in preparation, announcing the dispersion of "Owls on the Road" with custom imaging for some individual coaches.
Offensive Coordinator Brent Dearmon is scheduled to see quarterback commit Luke Rucker and his Seminole squad take on Cocoa Beach Friday at 7:00 PM.
Rucker has already amassed 1,050 yards through the air in just five games and his having his most accurate season under center for the Noles thus far.
Staff will also be taking in Cardinal Newman's game against Glades Central. At 6-0, the Crusaders have a roster packed full of FBS talent. One prospect they will be most assuredly be looking at is edge Maverick Grasio, who is currently pledged to Akron.
In another exciting local contest, they will be checking in on Owl wide receiver commit Arthur Jenkins who will face off against 2023 FAU running back pledge Xavier Terrell and his St. Thomas squad.
Overall, strategic stops are expected to be made in both Florida and Georgia.
Below is the current list of prospects who have announced intentions to become members of the 2023 class:
Cardinal Gibbons RB Kamari Moulton
Dougherty DE Stantavious Smith
Clewiston DB Preston Thompson
Dillard WR AJ Jenkins
Booker T Washington Safety Fabian Scott

This round of contact is an important one with the early signing period set to begin just over two months from now on December 21, 2022 and conclude two days later on the 23rd.
National Signing Day is scheduled for February 1, 2023.
With 12 total pledges, the Florida Atlantic class currently ranks 3rd in Conference USA according to all of the three major rankings services - 247 Sports, Rivals, and On3.
As the weekend plays out, we'll share any relevant updates within this posting.

If the game is at Cocoa Beach, I might attend the game tonight as I live in CB. Minuteman stadium did not get damaged or flooded by the storm.
My son was a four year golf team letterman while at CBHS before heading to FAU.
My daughter was four years on the Flygirls and was co-captain last year as a Senior at FAU.
True. Honestly I’d take Charlie, either one, over WT right now.
Well we might as well throw Jr in there for a few starts and see what we have.
Charlies teams were MUCH worse.
Such as this homecoming gem….https://fausports.com/sports/football/stats/2016/wku/boxscore/2816
Didn’t MSTU put up 70 on us at home with Charlie? I’m pretty sure that defense had a few NFL players on it too. No thanks. WT is bad, but not that bad
Same season as the above boxscore. 77-56. Middle played without a qb too. Richie James ran the wildcat. Highest scoring game in modern CFB at the time I believe. Still have nightmares from Richie James.
Not only did they score 77.
They took their foot off the gas to start the 4th quarter.
Could have gone for 90+ if they wanted….without a QB.
lol Charlie’s last game. I want to say Driskel kept us close near the end of the third quarter too
