Exactly. I think its wild to say the team does not respect him after 1 loss. I hope you guys didn’t think we were going undefeated or that undfeated is the standard here going forward.
Is this the only thing they are mad about?
Let's find solutions. 2020 was better than what I expected and we still have a recruiting season to finalize, probably a bowl to attend and a game to win this Thursday.
The sports complex opened up this year; we should be grateful the school has a facility like that one.
Do we think this is the only time an underclassman has played over an upperclassman. What if he did it to send a message. Either you practice hard or put someone else in. I really think this is blown way out of proportion honestly. If it wasn’t his son would it be a big deal. The fact that westar plays over willie wright, why is that not a big deal?
Yeah were is the proof of this I haven't seen anything about it
At QB he can’t even throw more than 20 yards with any velocity. He doesn’t look strong or particularly in shape.
There were rumors that players weren’t happy about that. Then he doesn’t play 1 down against GSU. That’s quite a coincidence.
The statment above has a problem. IMO the Gun Option is not tricky and you really dont see a lot of Triple Option run from it. You see mostly the QB keep or pitch portion of the option to the outside.
AS I stated in another thread
I personally dont like the Gun Option. I am however a Flex Triple Option fan. Many on the gsufans.com board would disagree with me. I just believe the running game, in the Gun Option, is to easy to read for the opposing defenses LBs, Safties and corners for a running team. I'm use to GSUs Flex Triple Option rushing for 350-400 ypg and scoring between 35-45ppg. Havent seen that in a long time using the Gun Option. IMO our defense has kept us in the game for most of the year.

Significant? Is there a backup receiver he's played more than?
You've now posted this three times. If you read the forum rules flooding is not permitted. Thanks
Now things are better. He didn’t play against GSU and with how talented the backups are don’t think he’ll play again.
I’ve watched a lot of football and I know how these things happen. Taggart Jr. is eventually going to be the #2 QB. Taggart will probably make it that Jr. sees significant time at QB. I’d prefer his scholarship taken away and either never play again or go to A much lower level of football like D3 if he even belongs there.
Can you stop constantly attacking an 18 year old college kid? Does it make you feel good, empowered? How many times do you have to repeat yourself. We get it you have a made up source and that tells you the entire team is ready to commit mutiny on taggert cause he played his son in a handful of plays.
Honestly I just think you don’t like his son. His son was one of the best players in Tallahassee. I bet Deion plays Shedeur this is nothing new and about nothing as far as I am concerned! I think when you have coaching turnover some kids are going to leave and be unhappy its part of the process.
Lol he wants the guy to cut his son from the team. If he ever scores a touchdown at fau I am going to post the highlight in this thread lol
I agree. This year hasn’t been perfect but when I heard we weren’t going to have chris robison, keke leroy, meiko dotson, and james pierre I thought we were going to be the bad news bears. We didn’t have a dline or any proven linebackers. We moved safeties and running backs to corners. We lost because we turned the ball over 4 times. Marshall did the same thing. We will get better its a covid year anyways.
Also lost John Mitchell & Rahmod Smith to season ending injuries and Quran Hafiz & La’Darious Henry to COVID opt out.
These players who could still be playing as well as your posted players above and we are still getting it done only speaks of how well the coaches are really doing.
I forgot about harrison bryant and john raine… no tight end expierience.
But I think you’re being a little naive and coming at this as a fan.
To think that a talented receiver would watch Taggart Jr., a less talented true freshmen backup QB get designed screens and trick plays ran for him at WR and not be upset is ridiculous. Just because you want there to not be a problem doesn’t mean there isn’t.
You haven’t added thing. You have repeated yourself over and over
It’s pretty obvious that there need to be changes on the offensive side of the ball. Taggart needs to give up play calling duties. Plays aren’t getting called in until the last minute. He’s playing the wrong QB and not taking advantage of what the defense gives him.
I’m just saying what I heard is transfer QB’s aren’t lining up trying to come to FAU right now. With all sorts of bad rumors there needs to be a shake up with the offensive play calling.
Do you think Georgia Southern’s defense is amazing and that’s why we scored 3 points? He needs to give up control of the offense.
All of the QBs are not even in the portal. You do realize the season is not over. We were in the redzone at least 3-4 times. He called plays at Oregon and USF and you don’t think he can call plays in conferencw usa? Thats laughable
Literally not a single player cares who cares if he is on the field for a couple of snaps for designed plays for him, you have no proof of anyone getting mad and frankly I doubt anyone cares. I’m sure if one of the wr’s really cares about him getting snaps I guarantee they will put their name in the portal.
Your “rumors” are also garbage claims if a single player is so “insecure” about a player getting 5-10 snaps a game idk what to tell you. You’re starting to sound like Chuck with all this garbage your spewing.
When the offense is that abysmal you can’t just say, oh it’s because of no Robison. You think potential transfer QB’s would want to come here knowing how poorly Taggart has managed the offense? The last couple games teams have tried to stop the run and Taggart can’t even find ways to beat them with the pass. I heard that players are mad at Jr. getting designed plays for him and that potential transfers aren’t exactly lining up to play in Taggart’s offense. How is that surprising when the offense is so bad?
Rookies come in to the NFL and take starting positions from vets all the time.
It is a TEAM sport, the FAU players will have to deal with it if they expect to move to the next level.
Coach Taggart will play the best players he has in each position, with advice from Assistant Coaches.
We may be lacking a good player for a position, but that can be addressed in the offseason.
Let’s make the best of this season first.
The offenses main problem is play calling and play design. It’s predictable and it’s crap. Taggert did this at FSU where he had two losing season with better recruits and a successful team that Jimbo Fisher left him. Hell, he went 7-5 at Oregon with Justin Herbert at QB. He’s got a career losing record as a head coach. If he’s supposed to be this offensive genius why did his offense at FSU average 1.8 passing and .8 rushing TD’s per game in his best season (5-7)? We couldn’t even put a beating down on UMASS, the worst team in the NCAA. If I can sit on my couch at home and call the next offensive play, there’s a problem, and it’s not the players faults.
Jimbo left Willie with a 3-5 ACC team and promptly resigned, hardly successful.
