Coffeyville CC WR Joseph Young Commits to FAU Football Class of 2024
6-1, 195 lbs
The Florida Atlantic football team added another recruit to the Class of 2024, seeing Joseph Young make his pledge to the program as a JUCO transfer from Coffeyville Community College.
This gives an interesting strength to the wide receiver position when he makes his way to Boca Raton next year.
Making his announcement on Monday evening, Young is coming off a senior campaign in which he took part in nine games.
In those appearances, he recorded 364 yards and five touchdowns on 24 receptions. He finishes his career with the Red Ravens with 572 yards and seven touchdowns on 35 catches in 13 contests over the last two seasons.
Rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports with an 83 score, he is ranked 11th among the best players at his position, 21st as one of the best from Kansas, and 63rd throughout the country.
Young is now the 17th member of FAU's expanding 2024 class. He chose the Owls over Arkansas, East Carolina, Louisiana Tech, and Old Dominion among others.
He could also be the second player to be joining the Owls' receiving corps in the 2024 season, likely grouping himself with Leon Washington Jr. from North Florida Christian High School.
