Cooke announced his commitment to the Owls on Sunday afternoon, shortly after making his official visit this weekend.

"The reason I fell in love with FAU is is it’s a great program with great things to come and it’s a close place to home with great views everywhere," Cooke said.

He is coming off a solid junior campaign at Riverdale High School. On the defensive side of the ball, he made 21 tackles (15 solo), five TFLs, and a sack throughout seven games in 2023.

Cooke's best performance that season arguably came against SFMHS last September. Even though the team lost in a 35-0 shutout, he was active in the tackling department, finishing with seven tackles (five solo), two TFLs, and a sack for a loss of three yards.

He is also quite the active athlete, no matter what sport he's playing. He plays baseball and basketball on top of football, demonstrating his willingness to improve every facet of his skillset.

Rated as a three-star lineman with an 85 score on On3, he is ranked the 97th-best player at his position and the 146th-best in the state of Florida.

He chose the Owls over enticing offers from multiple FBS schools such as UCF and Western Kentucky among others.

"The key thing that put me over the top with the program is how every part from the trainer, to the nutritionist, all the way to coach Herman are all apart of one big family that works together to make me the best I can be," Cooke said.

Cooke is the ninth member of the Owls' 2025 class, joining Seth Chestnut, Nigel Nelson, Hector Chavez, Damon Allen, Robert Lee, Jordan Magwood, Cameron Gooden, and Zion Paret.

His impressive size and versatility make him an ideal fit for FAU’s offensive line, where his athleticism and strength will be critical in both pass protection and run blocking schemes.
