The Florida Atlantic football team continues to beef up their future offensive line, making a big addition in local prospect Logan Husband.

Husband announced his commitment to the Owls on Tuesday afternoon, shortly after making an official visit this past weekend.

"Throughout my visit, I saw a lot of similar attributes and traditions that my high school does now, which made me feel at home. Coach Warinner is one of the best OL coaches in college football and I have faith that he can take me to the next level if I put in the work," Husband said.

During his two seasons at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Husband excelled as a two-way player, recording up to 13 tackles (four solo), two TFLs, and a sack on defense. In his junior season, he made five tackles (one solo), one TFL, and a sack for a loss of two yards.

Taking part in the offensive line this past season, Husband was notably effective in quarterback protection, delivering eight pancake blocks in seven games.

It was a stellar year for Husband and St. Thomas Aquinas, posting a 14-1 record and secured the third-best ranking in Florida.

The team dominated in the 2023 FHSAA Football State Championships, clinching the Class 3M Title with a 31-28 victory over Homestead in the final.

Husband chose FAU over offers from several FBS schools, including USF, UCF, Illinois, Indiana, Pittsburgh, and FIU. He is rated as a three-star lineman by Rivals.

"Iím a high achiever so I expect a lot from myself. With that being said, I see myself getting a lot of playing time right away at FAU. I know what the roster will look like by the time I get there and I envision myself being an important piece to the puzzle early," said Husband.

As the 13th member of the Owls' 2025 class, Husband joins Cole Cooke and Nikolas Turner as the third offensive lineman in the group. He is also the second prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas to commit to the program this year, sticking with fellow teammate Branden Hoch, who made his pledge to FAU recently.

Husband expressed a lot of confidence in learning under head coach Tom Herman's direction, excited to play for him when he enrolls next summer.

"I have so much faith in his vision because I have seen him do it before in other programs and heís already making a huge impact in such little time. His passion and enthusiasm for the game is something I can relate to and I trust him," Husband said.

"I would love to get ahead of it and early enroll, but St. Thomas doesnít do that so I think Iíll just take the time to enjoy my last high school year while working to come in to FAU in great shape and ability to execute at the next level!"

His agility and versatility make him an ideal fit for FAU's dynamic offense, where his speed and ability to read defenses will be key assets.
