Florida Atlantic Football lands first HS recruit of Kittley era with ‘26 DB Sean Williams

The first official High School recruit of the Zach Kittley era has officially committed. On Monday afternoon, class of 2026 3 star recruit and Creekside High School DB Sean Williams announced he would be beginning his High School career in Boca Raton.

The 6 ‘0 165 pound Fairburn, Georgia native has played in 19 games over the past 2 years for Creekside, recording 64 total tackles, 16 passes defended and 4 interceptions, including a pick 6 in 2023.

Williams had a wide variety of interest in his services, from all ranks of College Football including Pitt, Indiana and SMU from among others from the P5 ranks, and ECU, Memphis and USF from the G5 pool.

Despite the numerous offers to his name, Williams said he felt the interest that he received from FAU was greater than the other programs, noting that he developed a bond with coaching staff almost instantaneously.

“It was the bond that I had with the coaches, I felt like this was the school that wanted me the most and was most interested in me. When i came down to the school I loved the environment, it’s just a place I could see myself in for the next couple years,” Williams said.

Williams has been a part of a very successful Fairburn program that has notched a 23-5 record over the past 2 seasons and he will be looking to build on that in his senior season next year and bring his winning pedigree to paradise in 2026.

When he arrives in Boca Raton, Williams hopes to be able to make his mark right away, noting that in year one at FAU top DB in the AAC is a goal he wants to attain.

“I’m looking forward to a dominating season. I have big goals in my first year that I want to accomplish and I won’t set myself short. I want to be one of the top guys in the conference at DB,” Williams said.

FAU has been able to get solid contributions from freshman at DB right away, most recently with CJ Heard last season and Williams has a chance to be the next young star in the room come 2026.
